In 1997, brothers Dean & Jean Pierre (JP) Pigéon started a small catering company that grew from the Deli established in Kenner in 1992. Pigéon Catering & Events has grown into one of the largest and most popular in New Orleans.

As the company grew, so did its reputation. Along the way, Pigéon Caterers earned the honor of becoming the official food service provider to the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans, offering a variety of delicious and nutritious meals in tandem with nutritionists. In 2006, they further expanded their product line by acquiring the Gumbo Shop Catering, a testament to their continuous growth and success.

In addition to the thriving company that services the highly active social market, conventions, and meetings, they purchased Carnival Culinary Solutions in 2007.

When the Pigéon brothers purchased Carnival Culinary Solutions, the company was only producing crab cakes, which were distributed to grocery stores in the frozen seafood section. Customers enjoyed Carnival Culinary Solutions’ food, and requests came pouring in to expand the line. A new USDA facility was opened, and now they produce an entire line of appetizers, dips, soups, sauces, gravies, desserts, and center-of-the-plate entrees.

The brothers’ unwavering commitment to quality has always been the cornerstone of their mission statement: “the desire to provide the highest quality food to their customers and continue to find innovative ways to bring their New Orleans style foods to the heart of America through Carnival Culinary Solutions.” This commitment is not just a statement, but a promise they have kept throughout their journey.
